When transitioning into adulthood, college-bound adults with disabilities are no longer eligible for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Act. Although college students with disabilities are protected from discrimination under Section 504, some professors take a dim view of students who request accommodations. Wrights Law collected these resources to help you learn self-advocacy skills and make the transition from high school to college. The resources are divided into three categories: your rights and responsibilities under Section 504; the importance of planning and preparing; and keys to success.

If you currently have Medicaid or Medicare, you’re considered covered under the health care law and don’t need a Marketplace plan; However, if you don’t have health coverage, you can fill out a Marketplace application to find out if you qualify for savings on a private health plan or for coverage through Medicaid.
